Welcome to Dahlonega's Gold Mine Radio!
We're proud to be America's home for musical gold & radio nostalgia. Featuring bluegrass, country, gospel music and vintage radio programs, Gold Mine Radio is proud to be "Dahlonega's own." We're just beginning, but we hope to grow and expand in the months to come. We especially want to highlight local and regional artists, as well as up and coming talent within the genres that we play. If you are such an artist, or know of one we don't currently play, please reach out and let us know.
Broadcasting from The Mineshaft Studios in Dahlonega, home of America's first major gold rush, Georgia's Gold Mine Radio can be heard online through the link in the top right corner of this page, or on your phone via the TuneIn and Live365 apps. To listen on your phone, just head over to your app store and download your preferred app. Then, search for us under the bluegrass genre, or type "Georgia", "Dahlonega", or "Gold Mine Radio" into the app's search engine.
So, lay your pan down, sit back, and listen a spell! Just be sure to make us a favorite on your TuneIn or Live365 app to easily find us again and again. You can also follow us on Facebook and X through the links below. Thanks for stopping by! We hope you enjoy our music and keep in touch.
Artist Spotlight: Lonesome River Band
Gold Mine Radio is shining our "Artist Spotlight" on the Lonesome River Band! Formed way back in 1982, Lonesome River Band continues to live up to its reputation as one of the most respected names in Bluegrass music. Led by Sammy Shelor, five-time International Bluegrass Music Association (IBMA) Banjo Player of the Year, and winner of the Steve Martin Prize for Excellence in Banjo and Bluegrass, this band is constantly breaking new ground in acoustic music. They bring to the stage stellar lead vocalists and impressive instrumental talents, amazing audiences at every performance with their trademark sound that fans continue to enjoy.
Lonesome River Band has recorded more than twenty albums in its long musical history, and we are delighted to welcome them to Dahlonega on April 17th to kick off our Bear On The Square Festival.
