We're proud to be America's home for musical gold & radio nostalgia. Featuring bluegrass, country, gospel music and vintage radio programs, Gold Mine Radio is proud to be "Dahlonega's own." We're just beginning, but we hope to grow and expand in the months to come. We especially want to highlight local and regional artists, as well as up and coming talent within the genres that we play. February 2026 Artist of the Month:  Karen Peck & New River

​Gold Mine Radio "Artist of The Month" for February 2026 is seven-time Grammy nominated, ten-time GMA Dove Award winning artist Karen Peck and New River, from right down the road in Gainesville, Georgia! Having impacted the Gospel Music industry for over 30 years, Karen Peck & New River has enjoyed over 20 number one hits. In 2018, Karen Peck Gooch was inducted into the Gospel Music Association Hall of Fame, and later inducted into the Southern Gospel Music Hall of Fame in 2021. In 2022, 2023, 2024, and 2025 she was voted Favorite Soprano from The Singing News Fan Awards. 

 

Karen Peck & New River was formed in January 1991. Karen teamed with her husband, Rickey Gooch and her sister, Susan Peck Jackson, to form the group. Karen had already made a name for herself, serving as beloved Soprano for the popular Rex Nelon Singers for a decade. During that time she earned her first GMA Dove Award, as well as her first of 11 consecutive Singing News Fan Awards for Favorite Soprano.

Amid the personal success Karen has enjoyed, New River has been equally blessed with countless honors and accolades, including many radio hits, which have soared up the Southern Gospel Music airplay charts.

January 2026 Artist of the Month:  Cipollari

The Gold Mine Radio “Artist of The Month” for January 2026 is Cipollari, formerly​ known as the "Cotton Pickin' Kids"!

The Cipollari's are a family of 13 who grew up singing and playing bluegrass music. As the saying goes, "Bluegrass is the best music because it sounds the same when the power goes out." Each sibling was taught at a young age to play various instruments, whether it be the guitar, banjo, mandolin, fiddle, or harmonica. They would often play for family and social gatherings. 

​The Cotton Pickin' Kids formed in 2017, when the youngest member was only seven years old. The band is known for their impressive musical skills and harmonies, as well as their original songs and covers of classic bluegrass tunes. Some of their popular songs include "I'll Fly Away", "Rocky Top", and "Foggy Mountain Breakdown" getting millions of views on their socials.

December 2025 Artist of the Month:  Williamson Branch

The Gold Mine Radio “Artist of The Month” for December 2025 is Williamson Branch! Williamson Branch is a family band with lots of Christmas spirit, and, like most families, they are rich in tradition, ripe with potential, and diverse in taste. This family has a love for each other and music. That love makes each performance special. Williamson Branch plays music that is mostly bluegrass, sometimes country, often times gospel, but always fresh and exciting. Their vocals soar with a closeness that can only be found in blood relatives. Their instrumentation is impressive. Their laughter is contagious. Their clog dancing is exhilarating and their personalities are sparkling!

November 2025 Artist of the Month:  Ashleigh Graham

Meet Ashleigh Graham — a rising star in the bluegrass world and our feature artist of the month! Ashleigh’s soulful vocals and lightning-fast mandolin picking are quickly catching the attention of music fans across Appalachia and beyond. Rooted in tradition but never afraid to push musical boundaries, Ashleigh blends heartfelt storytelling with high-energy performance, making every song feel like a front porch jam. Whether she's covering classics or performing originals, her sound is pure mountain magic.
